First one for me, we just got a dog last weekend.

His name is Dash, he is a year and four months, and some mix of pointer and terrier. My kids had been asking for a dog for a while, and they finally started to show enough responsibility that I caved. I’m not much of a pet person, but he is growing on me.

He seems pretty chill in this picture, but I'm guessing he has a lot of energy.

Congrats!  That’s a good looking doggo.  That is also a great age to adopt, as they should be past the worst of the puppy stuff.
